I recently completed my Master of Professional Psychology, the fifth year of professional training in psychology, and am looking forward to developing my experience in mental health practice and supporting people to make positive changes in their lives. I am committed to learning more about neurodiverse-affirming care, understanding the unique strengths of our clients, and implementing appropriate therapeutic supports that adapt to meet their specific needs.
More About Lucy:

I grew up in Orange in regional NSW surrounded by my wonderful family and friends. As an only child I spent a lot of time with my parents who taught me to love the small parts of life, never be afraid of your own company and work hard in any role you are placed. I see my parents in my current hobbies and interests such as live music, gardening, bike riding, dogs and reading.
In high school I worked hard academically, however looking back on my experience it was the friends I had at this time that shaped me to become more aware, inclusive, and thoughtful. Spending time with people who were neurodiverse and members of the LGBTQIA+ community gave me an insight into differing perspectives that the education system did not provide. This learning and respect for neurodiversity will never stop and was the reason I wanted to work in an inclusive psychology practice.
I moved to Canberra in 2019 to pursue my undergraduate degree and was lucky enough to have a year living on campus before COVID-19 completely reshaped the university student experience. When I started my course I did not fully understand how time consuming it was to qualify as a psychologist, but I am so excited to finally be able to work in this very important role.
